We will be performing next as part of the 2012 CIRQUE OFF at Triskelion!

It's a three day festival of all things funny, circus and awesome presented by Triskelion Arts, it's the 5th year running and it's always a great time, good line ups, different each night, so you can come to all three!

We'll be on stage:

We're back in a New York way!

We are back safe and sound from Canada. We had an amazing run in The Toronto and Edmonton Fringe Festivals and are so happy to be back in NYC, performing Channel One in Brooklyn this September.

All together, we were gone for 45 days, rode a bus for 1000 miles, drove 6500 miles, traveled through 2 countries, 12 states, 3 provinces, 5 national parks, 2 floods & one million butterflies. We saw the Amish playing volleyball in a field, bison & deer roaming the earth, glaciers, mountains & hot springs. We handed out 10,000 flyers, put up 150 posters and played Channel One to over 800 adoring fans.

Here's the deal: we went to the future to avoid the end of the world. Apparently no one else had that idea. Hey 2011: jump in that time machine! Come here! We do TV. But better! Watch the last two women on earth unleash a mind-melting cloudburst of characters! Take that, imminent doom!

oh my god like... i was totally in the future and like you would never be-lieve - what - a-happened - to -a me. OMG. It was like this totally huge like mechanical like lazer-y nail salon and like, I hovered into the place - because you don't WALK - like - in the fuh-riggin future! You just fuh-riggin HOVER! And like I hovered in and this ROBOT was like all to me like "Mani? Pedi?" So I was like "BOTH please" and then this chair scooted behind me and like I sat down and like but - it wasn't a chair - per-say it was like these two fluffy discs and i sat and like these lazers zapped after a ROBOT displayed the colors I could choose from and BOOM my feet looked GUH-orgeous and then ZAP my hands were like fuh-riggin pris-tine! and like, Oh, yah I totally chose SILVER!!! Oh but like, NO one is fat in the future ... it's well, it's kinda like... heaven for god's sakes.

In the future,
Will there be love?
Will there be heartache?
Will there be paint?
Will there be earthquakes?

These are all questions we ponder in the early morn or the late eve. But in all seriousness, what does the future hold? We like to think there will still be a need for making people (will there be people?) laugh. We like to think there will still be a need to communicate. We like to think these things due to the sheer fact that we've invested so much of our time and energy into them in the present. Think about what time and energy we (collectively that is) invested into in the past that are still with us today. Washing machines. Cars. Electricity. Bleach. TV. Yes, TV. And we're back. Back on to where we so beautifully began. That gorgeous specimen of modern invention that keeps us company when no one else will, that calms our ails when we ail, that buoys us up when we're sinking low and that teaches us the real lessons in life. We're talking about life lessons. From people who were well written and seamlessly styled. These are the gems we can carry around with us and use in moments that may not be so cleverly contrived. They are our superpowers. TV gives us these. And much more. TV of the future?

In the future, are we going to have people who all at once conjoin different senses and can't remember anything about their lives? Would this be a evolutionary step up? Or just self preservation? Or could it just be annoying, cloying and repetitive.

I think they would be called a synesthesiac.

They might talk a little like this:

What's that smell? Oh it must be this song. ... Or is it? Is it this song? What is this song? I mean I know it's blue, but what's it called? It tastes so familiar, it's on the tip of my brain. Oh hell. Hot. Is it? Are you someone I knew before? Are you important? You look like three, but that could just be me.

This could be in our future. Or yours.
